Ingredients

6 ounces fresh water

2-3 tablespoons French Market® Coffee & Chicory (or your favorite blend)

2 tablespoons sweetened condensed milk (or more or less, to taste)

Ice

Utensils:

1 individual size phin coffee filter

1 heat-proof drinking glass

Makes 1 iced coffee

Directions
  1. Boil the water
  2. Place the condensed milk in the bottom of the heat-proof glass
  3. Place the phin filter on top of the glass according to manufacturer’s instructions
  4. Place the ground coffee into the filter and pour a small amount of boiling water (about 2 tablespoons) over the coffee and wait a minute to allow it to expand (“bloom”).
  5. Slowly pour the remaining water into the filter; lightly press the coffee grounds using the press piece, then place the top on the filter and allow the coffee to slowly drip into the glass.
  6. When the glass is sufficiently filled with brewed coffee, remove the phin filter, stir the coffee and condensed milk until fully combined, and add ice to fill the glass. Serve immediately.
